Dexter star Jennifer Carpenter has signed up for the new Nicolas Cage flick The Hungry Rabbit Jumps.

Cage stars as a teacher forced to turn vigilante when his wife (Jennifer Jones) is attacked. Carpenter, who plays the sister of her co-star and real-life husband Michael C. Hall on the hit TV show, will portray the best friend of Jones.

The Roger Donaldson-directed film will also star Lost alumnus Harold Perrineau alongside Guy Pearce.

Carpenter also starred in Quarantine and The Exorcism Of Emily Rose.
